Talent Management were interested to read teenage model Ireland Baldwin’s recent interview with Dujour magazine on her career aspirations and modelling. The 17-year-old model looked positively glowing in the ‘Luck Of The Irish’ shoot for the winter issue of the magazine which was shot by famed photographer Bruce Weber.

“I thought the theme was amazing. I loved seeing all the male models in kilts, and I loved dancing with the professional bagpipe players.” She gushed in the interview. We can’t say we blame her –  especially after we clapped eyes on the shot below!

It seems, however, that modelling isn’t quite as easy as the teenage model thought it would be, Baldwin confesses in the interview: “Modeling is much harder than I anticipated. It really takes a lot out of you. Though, it’s really fun and I never thought I would meet all these lovely people.”

Ireland is the daughter of famed actress Kim Basinger and her ex-husband actor Alec Baldwin and wants to eventually follow in their footsteps:”‘My end goal is to act, write and direct . . . I grew up on my parents movie sets and so desperately wanted to be in their position,” she says.

‘I would love to be in a comedy or remake of a classic novel.’

The pretty seventeen-year-old grew up in the public eye and started modelling earlier this year when she signed to two leading modelling agencies. She has unfortunately had her fair share of criticism online: “I have received nasty e-mails, messages on Twitter and ridiculous comments not only about my size but my family,” the model told People magazine.

Earlier this year the ridicule saw the teen post an open letter on her Tumblr account: “I understand that I am not a size .008. What I don’t fully understand is, what is the good in commenting on a photo of a 17-year-old girl calling her fat, ugly, etc?,” she wrote.

“I didn’t expect it. It was really surprising to see how negative people can be towards someone they don’t even know.”

It seems her recent admission that she is finding modelling hard has sparked off more negative press with some readers commenting “Modelling is hard? All she has to do is stand around like a clothes hanger. Somebody should give her some REAL work to do!”

What do you think? We think Ireland Baldwin is a great role-model and inspiration for young girls and we wish her all the best in her future modelling career.
