After more shocking images of super-skinny models at New York Fashion Week, Talent Management has been relieved to see that models at the London equivalent are promoting a relaxed attitude to food.

We were concerned to witness the continued use of size zero models in NY, such as Bette Franke – shown above. Sometimes it seems that, despite promises to the contrary, this situation will never change.

Victoria Beckham banned skinny models from her shows and many fashion houses claim to have followed suit. But controversial former Australian Vogue editor Kirstie Clements has expressed the view that it is ‘impossible’ to control the diets of models, many of whom are said to fill up on tissues as apposed to food. A very worrying claim.

Enter home-grown supermodels Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne. Despite their skinny appearances, the pair have been seen showcasing their London Fashion Week diets this week – as McDonalds and Nandos!

Now, everyone knows that eating a lot of junk food is a bad idea. But staff at the TM offices have had to admit that we would prefer to see this pair of models – who influence many young girls – promoting a relaxed attitude to food, than championing the latest ‘cayenne pepper and celery’ diet fad.

In fact, Dunn has named her favourite food as chicken wings this week:

It’s chicken wings! I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like chicken wings. You say chicken wings and everyone’s like ‘What, what? Chicken wings? I’m there.’

“Chicken wings and beer, chicken and beer. Perfect.”

We couldn’t agree more, and, while a balanced diet is always what we would recommend, we are happy to see an apparently healthy attitude to food from this super-slim pair.
