Modelling agency Models Direct is excited that ‘Twilight’s Kristen Stewart is set to star alongside Charlize Theron and Thor’s Chris Hemsworth, a firm favourite with models at our agency, in a new Snow White themed film called ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’.

You guessed it, Chris Hemsworth – apparently complete with Scottish accent – plays the huntsman hero and the brilliant Charlize Theron stars as Ravenna, an evil queen who is intent on stealing Snow White’s soul before the innocent girl’s beauty surpasses her own.

‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ is set to be a visually stunning film with British director Rupert Sanders and producer Joe Roth (Alice In Wonderland) joining some fantastic actors in the credits. It is being compared to epic productions like Lord of the Rings and appears to have plenty of twists in store for its audience, from a sword wielding Stewart to some impressive battle scenes.

All in all ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ looks set to be a far grittier version of the traditional tale than its competition. ‘Mirror Mirror’ stars the ever-popular Julia Roberts and, less well-known, Lily Collins – who you may remember from her performance in feel good true story film ‘The Blind Side’.

‘Mirror Mirror’ appears to have taken a far more comedic approach. The beautiful Julia Roberts gives a tongue in cheek performance as a somewhat sarcastic queen, and Collins makes a happy-go-lucky Snow White.

The production on ‘Mirror Mirror’ has reportedly been rushed through in order to secure a March release, beating ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ by 3 months. But at Models Direct we are wondering how much competition the two films really pose for each other. They seem to offer very different viewing experiences to audiences.

At this stage it seems that ‘Mirror Mirror’ could provide a nice family film for younger viewers while ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ will keep older viewers enthralled. In the Models Direct offices we have to admit some considerable bias towards ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’.
