Lily Cole Poses With Dog Model For S Moda Magazine

Styled in an all-black outfit, Lily Cole’s hottest accessory in this Damon Baker shoot isn’t the Victoria Grant skullcap she’s rocking, nor is it the chunky statement ring by Alexander McQueen…it is, of course, the cute dog model she’s posing with!

In the midst of this season’s hottest fashion pieces, the team at Models Direct can’t help but focus on the little white, black and brown pup, who is just as fashionable as Lily having been styled by Alberto Murta in a studded leather collar from New York jewellery designer Eddie Borgo.

The team at the modelling agency loved seeing this super-cute pet model pop up in an editorial – which is a London fashion special for the June ’12 issue of S Moda magazine – and we’re not the only ones. In fact, we’ve noticed that using dog models in fashion shoots has become a huge new trend for 2012.

Back in April, we saw that Paper Magazine’s fashion editorial ‘Dog Days’ featured an assortment of dog models being held by female models donned in Jean Paul Gaultier, Prada and Stella McCartney.

Tim Walker also photographed Kate Moss with some dog models for an editorial in April’s issue of Vogue this year, while luxury British brand Mulberry got up to some playful catwalk shenanigans by sending both canine and human models down their catwalk during their S/S 12 show.

With the demand for cute dogs clearly on the rise, Models Direct is on the look out for well-trained, well-groomed dogs to add to the books in the agency’s pet modelling division.

So, if you think your dog is just as cute as this one with Lily, why not think about signing your furry friend up? Apply online to register your dog as a pet model, and the next time a client comes to our booking agents looking for dogs to feature in their photos, marketing or film/TV projects, it could be you accompanying them to their first modelling job!
