21 year old model Nadja Bender – the new face that recently told Vogue Italia that she became a model because she “wanted to try it” – has stormed onto the scene since we first noticed her in December last year.

In just a matter of months, the newcomer has not only bagged some impressive magazine editorials and the cover of Style.com/Print’s A/W 12 issue, but she’s also made a lasting impression on the catwalk this past season.

Modelling the A/W 2012 collections, she walked for Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Giambattista Valli and Stella McCartney to name a few.

Intrigued, the team at Talent Management thought we’d find out how this Copenhagen-born beauty has been getting on with the notoriously high-pressure catwalk environment.

Bender recently spoke to fashion site WWD about the highs and lows of the collections and outlined some of her toughest experiences modelling: “For McQueen, I was going to wear this lace mask covered in pearls and I couldn’t see so I got a new mask, thank god! And the shoes, they were for Lady Gaga and no one else. I was like, ‘I’m going to die!’”

Continuing, she shared her second toughest memory in the work of catwalk modelling: “I tripped in the fitting to confirm Versace last season. I was this close to hitting Donatella, and I broke the shoe! The assistant said, ‘It’s OK. You’re like the fifth girl to do it today.’”

But surely there must be some highs? Well, Bender went on to say that if she bags the number one on her catwalk wish list, Proenza Schouler, there may be some free clothes in store! “I’m really hoping to get Proenza Schouler,” she said. !I watched this documentary on them and they’re so smart and adorable! My girlfriend, Caroline [Brasch Nielsen], did some looks for them and she got to keep so much. Walking in her closet is like going to Barneys.”

Let’s hope we see more of this Danish beauty next season!
