Not only did UK modelling agency Talent Management love the collection for GapKids and BabyGap, but we also loved seeing it on a group of adorable little girl models.

From toddlers to child models, the girls clearly had lots of fun modelling the range, which includes mini wrap dresses, belted rompers and jumper dresses, all in DVF’s signature patterns.

“[As a designer], you want to do something that both mothers and children will love,” von Furstenberg told Savannah Guthrie on TODAY Friday. “And I think we really have done that. I think it’s very fun, happy and optimistic and practical.” And the girls certainly portrayed these aspects as they posed to their heart’s content and happily bopped along to music played by a talented 8-year-old boy on the decks.

The designer also provided more insight into her inspiration in this behind-the-scenes video of the collection’s photoshoot:

In it, she says: “A little girl, the minute she is born is already the woman she will be.  To empower a little girl is to empower the woman she will become.”

Talent Management loves that quote as the lucky child models seem to be portraying as much excitement and confidence on the photoshoot as the girls on The Today Show did!

But, as ridiculously cute as these clips are, it turns out the collection didn’t seem to need the hype these mini DVF models created – the range has practically sold out since hitting the shelves late last week.

The Today Show said: “The collection arrived in stores and on the website on Thursday, and several hours later there were already reports that some locations had sold out.” There’s also a banner on Gap’s website saying: “It’s almost sold out!”
