Talent Management Reveals The 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards Highlights
A couple of nights ago, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) paid tribute to the winners and honorees of the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards and commemorated the organization’s 50th anniversary…and Talent Management has all the best bits right here!
Highlights from the night saw Womenswear Designer of the Year honours go to Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen for The Row, which was presented by Jessica Chastain, and Menswear Designer of the Year go to Billy Reid, presented by Matt Bomer, while Reed Krakoff took home the Accessory Designer of the Year Award, presented by Jessica Paré.
“This year’s awards were particularly special,” said CFDA President Diane von Furstenberg. “We honoured the best talent working in American fashion today and celebrated CFDA’s 50th Anniversary and the impact of our family of designers.”
“A CFDA Fashion Award is one of the most coveted awards in our industry,” added CFDA CEO Steven Kolb. “This annual event is the one night we come together to celebrate our own.”
As well as Kolb and von Furstenberg, some of the most well known names in the fashion, modelling and media worlds were in attendance, including top models Crystal Renn, Arizona Muse, Candice Swanepoel, Dree Hemingway and Liu Wen, designers Zac Posen, Thom Browne and Phillip Lim, and magazine heavyweights Carine Roitfeld and Grace Coddington.
