It’s hard to believe that someone who can look so incredible after having had 4 children could possibly have ever suffered with body insecurities, but Victoria Beckham has admitted to them in a recent interview with i-D magazine.

The singer turned fashion designer looks amazing in the magazine, showing off an impressively toned post-baby body as she models in images taken by photographer Josh Olins. But she is quoted as saying: “When I started it was all about the corset dress. That’s what people associated me with, and possibly if I’m honest [it was] a sign of my own insecurities as well. But the older I get and the more comfortable I am in my own skin, the more I realise that to look great and feel great I haven’t always got to wear something tight.”

Despite these comments 37-year-old Victoria Beckham still opted for a fitted black PVC top and shorts by Balmain in the i-D shoot, and who can blame her, she looks fantastic in the ensemble. Models Direct model booking agents also love her look in the white corseted Rochas body and black Manolo Blahnik heels she donned for the shoot.

On the front cover itself she appears relaxed and happy, modelling her own designs, including what has become a bit of a signature look over the years – a peaked cap. She told i-D: “I don’t follow fashion and I don’t follow trends, I just follow my instincts and think – what do I want to wear?”

Well it seems to be working VB so why on earth not?
