The now world-famous transgender model Andrej Pejic has become a favourite with the industry’s top designers, and a firm favourite with Models Direct. Sporting a slender build and long blonde locks, Pejic is giving his male model peers a run for their money having recently modelled both womenswear and menswear collections at Sao Paulo Fashion Week.

Brazilian designer Lino Villaventura cast Pejic first in menswear, which saw him strut down the catwalk in high-waisted trousers, a shirt and cropped velvet jacket, paired up with a single suspender worn as a tie and flat pointed boots.

Later, the show’s finale saw the model dressed in complete contrast working a pleated pewter-coloured evening gown. This time, he wore heels with and a feminine headdress creating the overall ‘now that’s a supermodel’ look.

It appears that the rise of the androgynous model is now an unstoppable force as ‘it’ models like Pejic are being placed further in the spotlight.
