In Channel 4’s latest exploration into the cutthroat world of modelling, the new series ‘Dirty Sexy Things’ sees noted fashion photographer Perou set out to create a series of magnificent photographs that will both challenge his abilities and those of the eight beautiful models.

But who are these fabulous models?

First up is the blonde beauty Ariella. Describing herself as a ‘serial nomad’, Ariella has lived in several European countries before she was scouted outside Oxford Circus station in London. Despite the fact she ‘lost’ this scout’s business card, she promptly decided to get in touch with an modelling agency after realising that she could ‘really use the cash!’

BB is the successful commercial dancer who is determined to break boundaries within the modelling industry. Having only recently unleashed his looks, BB has already totted up an impressive number of major clients including Marks and Spencer. Next up is the lingerie enthusiast Charlotte who has worked on both TV and print ad campaigns including Marie Claire and a recent campaign for T-Mobile.

Jay is the self-confessed ‘sometimes-diva’ who has appeared in a campaign for Schuh and loves the free clothes that come as a perk of the job. As the daughter of a successful model, Londoner Jessye B grew up in the midst of the fashion industry and promptly shunned her ‘stuffy’ private education. Since then, she has appeared in campaigns for Kelly Hoppen and Puma.

The remaining models Jesse, Ocean and Rob are all fierce and fighting hard to stay on top. At 19 years old, Jesse is the youngest model on the show and only finished his A-levels two years ago. The Topshop model Ocean was scouted at the age of 20 and has since worked for Vogue and Vivienne Westwood whilst the show’s fully-fledged Lord, Rob, is a fitness and underwear model who comes from a background where having your own private plane is the norm.

The wide mixture of backgrounds and preferences will undoubtedly create a potent mix for the new series. Models Direct will definitely be watching this show as it develops – check out our blog next week to read about four of the models heading to Paris in a bid to make their mark in the French capital!
