Key Trends for Spring 2014

There are some gorgeous Spring trends set to be huge for 2014. All of them seen on the catwalks in 2013 and no doubt appearing on a High Street near you very soon!  If you are hoping to work with a modelling agency it’s great to show some knowledge of the upcoming trends so here are my  personal favourite three trends for Spring and a few ideas of how to incorporate them into your wardrobe whether that be for a modelling casting or your everyday look.

FLORALS

Talent Management Agency Trends
If you are hoping to work with a modelling agency it’s great to show some knowledge of the upcoming trends.

Floral’s are set to be huge again this year but with a bolder and more graphic feel to them, think bright colours and dynamic prints. You don’t need to work the trend in head to toe floral but floral accents work well including a cute pair of floral shorts or if you’re braver a floral blouse or shirt can look great with simple jeans and heels. You can even work the look with a floral scarf in your hair or even a floral design on your nails using coloured polishes to create the look.

For a talent management agency casting keep your outfit simple and plain but try adding a flowery twist with floral trainers or pumps.

PASTELS

Talent Management suggests Pale Tones
Pale yellow looks great with darker hair and a warm skin tone.

Ice cream colours were huge last year and this season pastels are back again. This time they definitely have a softer tone and a huge choice of fabrics from powder blue knits to candy pink sheer shirts. Pastels could work amazingly well for a modelling agency casting if they are kept simple and plain. Try a smart pastel blouse with jeans and keep your makeup soft and delicate.

Do pick a colour that suits your skin tone however. Pale yellow looks great with darker hair and a warm skin tone, whereas pale pink is perfect for blondes and those with a paler skin tone can pull off this pretty colour. Experiment with different pastels tones until you find your perfect shade and don’t be afraid to mix pastels together, for example mint green can look amazing with soft pink too.

METALLICS

metallics

Metallics aren’t just for Winter and are set to stay for Spring with palettes of silver and bronze all hitting stores as we speak. Metallics for this season should be bright tones for example silver or pale gold. For the brave the trend can be worn in dresses or t-shirts and for those who just want an accent of metallic they can find accessories such as statement necklaces or bangles which have the metallic feel and texture.

Silver or gold handbags are another great way to work this Spring trend in a simple way and nails and makeup can be styled to match with a huge choice of metallic shadows or polishes to add a perfect metallic accent.

This is just a glimpse at some of the gorgeous Spring trends coming and hopefully some great ideas to add a new twist to your wardrobe.  Every modelling agency will know what trends are set to be huge so do your research by reading fashion magazines and online blogs as well as taking notice of what’s hitting the high street.

Which of these Spring trends are your favourite? Which will you try?
