London Fashion Week SS13 is now in full swing and the team at Talent Management are enjoying checking out all the latest collections and the designers’ model choices.

But one model choice we’re loving wasn’t hired by a designer. Stunning Puerto Rican fashion model Joan Smalls was booked by Mercedes-Benz to not only showcase their new car design, but to promote the brand as the Official Car Sponsor of London Fashion Week and to celebrate their presence at the heart of Britain’s style industry.

The ad sees intergalactic beauty Smalls sporting a Mohawk and tight vintage catsuit, alongside the object of her desire – the new CLS Shooting Brake – and is this season’s futuristic fashion collaboration.

Dubbed ‘Form follows perfection’, directed by legendary fashion photographer Mario Testino, it follows on from the likes of Julia Stegner with the SLS AMG shot by Nick Knight; Milla Jovovich in the Mercedes E-Class Convertible by Miles Aldridge; Terry Richardson’s images of Jessica Stam poised on the roof of the A-Class concept car; and last season’s Lara Stone with the SL Roadster presented by Alex Prager.

With LFW coming to an end tomorrow, Mercedes-Benz has not only produced this slick new fashion-focussed ad, but they’ve also had their fleet of luxurious Mercedes-Benz vehicles out in force across the capital, ensuring that the models, designers and fashion aficionados have gotten to every catwalk show, press conference and after-party in impeccable style.

Talent Management wants to know what you think of the ad…and the car, tell us your thoughts on Twitter via @models_direct or on the model agency’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/modelsdirect.
