Bloggers at Models Direct were surprised to read rumours yesterday that a body-double model was used in notorious exhibitionist Rihanna’s recent video advertisement for Armani.

The singer is hardly associated with shyness or insecurity about her looks, but reports claiming that parts of her body were replaced in certain scenes of the video – by Irish model Jahnassa Aicken – have been published in both the Sun and the Daily Mirror this week. According to a source: “Jahnassa’s torso, body and bum appear in parts of the ad.” You can view the ad below.

It is said that Aicken was made to sign an order, banning her from discussing the modelling job, but the story was apparently leaked anyway. This sparked a furious potty-mouthed reaction from the 24-year-old Umbrella singer on Twitter, where she denied all knowledge of her alleged body-double.

As if to emphasise the point that she is 100% body-confident, Rihanna then went for a stroll around New York in a see-through top – ensuring that resulting pictures would reach the papers – and re-tweeted a snapshot of a naked New York billboard image that her management had posted earlier that day.

To be honest bloggers at Models Direct couldn’t give a hoot whether it’s Rihanna’s real backside or the model‘s in the advertisement – we just want to know why she appears to be wearing tights under jeans in the much talked about butt-shot?

However, for those of you who are left curious, the truth may out yet, an Advertising Standards Authority spokesman reportedly told the Sun: “If we have complaints consumers have been misled by the use of a body double, we will investigate.”
