When burlesque dancer, model and self-proclaimed lingerie-lover Dita Von Teese announced her collaboration with Target Australia to launch a new lingerie collection, it came as no surprise to Talent Management.

But the choice of catwalk models accompanying Dita’s raunchy showcase of the range, which she’s called Von Follies, did.

Last Saturday at the L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival 2012 (LMFF), Dita, dressed in a black lace piece from her collection, joined models of all sizes, from skinny to plus-size.

Not only were we impressed by Dita’s catwalking efforts – the Festival was a world first for the photographic model – but of course the team here at pro-diversity modelling agency Talent Management loved seeing the 25 models of various shapes, sizes and ethnicities that joined her strut their stuff in lingerie that Dita designed with real women in mind.

Graeme Lewsey, LMFF’s Chief Executive Officer said: “Dita Von Teese has taken inspiration from her extensive personal vintage lingerie collection and has designed with real women in mind, catering for all shapes and sizes. This really captures the essence of the Festival which celebrates accessibility and individuality, we encourage shoppers to take what they see on the runway and make it their own.”
