“Save Our Sanctuary” Pleads Model Erin O’Connor

Last month, we told you all about how one of Talent Management’s favourite British models, Erin O’Connor, lost the venue for her Model Sanctuary – an organisation that has provided health guidance and support to young models during the past seven London Fashion Week seasons in a row.

Last month, we told you all about how one of Talent Management’s favourite British models, Erin O’Connor, lost the venue for her Model Sanctuary – an organisation that has provided health guidance and support to young models during the past seven London Fashion Week seasons in a row.

Forced to temporarily close the sanctuary, the diverse beauty and model safety campaigner has since been working hard to secure a new venue in time for the next fashion week this September.

In a bid to garner more support, Erin has created SOS badges, which stand for ‘Save Our Sanctuary’. On her Model Sanctuary website, the model said: “As you are aware, we are working very hard to reopen our Model Sanctuary in the near future, but we need your help! We have created some fun badges in the hope of spreading our campaign to continue the good work of the Model Sanctuary. Our #SOS stands for ‘Save Our Sanctuary’. Please support us by re-tweeting and sharing your thoughts and ideas. All opinions welcome.”

Erin’s badges were proudly worn by fashion models and key supporters across the industry during fashion week and hopefully we’ll continue to spot them so that Erin can secure a new venue in time for the spring/summer 13 collections.
