In today’s modelling industry, teen models are reaching stardom left, right and centre. We reveal why.

The strains of the economy have affected all industries in some way or another. And the world of advertisement, a model’s best friend, is no different.

Brands are considering the effects of their advertising campaigns, and who fronts them, now more so than ever. It’s no wonder then that child and teen models, who naturally portray an air of innocence and integrity, are gaining in popularity.

In fact, teen models have become so popular that they’re often chosen over top adult models for huge advertising campaigns and editorials.

16 year old Polish model Monika Jagaciak, for example, began her modelling career in 2007. She quickly became the face of Hermes for the Fall/Winter 2007 season, and has since shot editorials for magazines such as Numéro, Japanese Vogue, Vogue Paris, Vogue Italia, and Teen Vogue.

Currently, Jagaciak, or ‘Jac’ as she’s known in the industry, is starring in the Fall/Winter 2010 campaign for Valentino, the Fall 2010 Chanel beauty campaign and the Fall 2010 Marc Jacobs campaign, alongside 17 year old Frida Gustavsson.
