Model Accessorises With LEGO Mouthpieces?!

Having been thoroughly shocked by a recent beauty editorial in 12 Magazine featuring 6 brutally injured models, we thought we’d check out the Bulgarian publication’s other beauty shoots in a bid to workout our eyebrows a little more.

Having been thoroughly shocked by a recent beauty editorial in 12 Magazine featuring 6 brutally injured models, we thought we’d check out the Bulgarian publication’s other beauty shoots in a bid to workout our eyebrows a little more.

While we didn’t come across anything quite as controversial as models with beat-up faces, we were intrigued by this Diliana Florentin shoot in which model Kristina Nestorova poses with LEGO mouthpieces.

These strange images seem to channel S&M meets children’s toys, and we’re not really sure what they’re all about.

The editorial accompanying the shoot on the magazine’s website may explain the use of LEGO props, but doesn’t really go very far to explain why they’re used as gags…or even potential torture devices!

It reads: “The best thing about the upcoming warm weather and the spring fashion season 2012 is the freedom they give us, to have fun. We are free to awake our inner child, and what day is better than a sunny Sunday? And what better way to do it than a light experiment with the spring’s colour trend, even with the addition of a cult toy from our childhood, and from that of our children?”

Still, we’re liking the bright make-up, by Slav for Max Factor, and who knows, perhaps posing with LEGO in your mouth will become the next big trend after planking?!
