You might remember seeing this face (and body!) in the racy video for Robin Thicke’s Summer hit ‘Blurred Lines’. Even though the video was banned on Youtube, it seems to have made Model Emily Ratajkowski a big hit as she has since landed a string of modelling and acting jobs!

“When I first saw the video, I was like, Oh, Jesus Christ, I’m so naked… Not just naked, but so revealed.

‘It was my personality,’ she said. ‘There was no glamour involved. I was just silly and playful and kind of ridiculous – a big dork. And I only let my best friends see that. Or if I’ve had a couple of cocktails.’

The 22-year-old model was born in London but raised in Encinitas, California and has previously been seen in ads for Forever 21 and Carl’s  Jr. The quirky model has also recently posed for GQ’s November issue, which saw the 22-year-old straddling a big mac in bright red shoes and standing over a giant ice-cream in red underwear.

Not only is she a talented model but it seems Emily has a passion for acting after landing a big screen acting role in David Fincher’s forthcoming film, Gone Girl. The film is based on the Gillian Fynn’s best-selling mystery, and Emily will play Andie, the young mistress of the married Nick Dunne, played by Ben Affleck.

When Nick’s wife goes missing, Andie joins the majority of characters who cast a suspicious eye on the unhappily married man, believing foul play might be involved.

This will be Ratajkowski’s first major screen role alongside a cast that also includes Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry and Patrick Fugit. It is now being filmed and will be released on October 3, 2014.

Finally the model has just landed a modelling gig with high-profile fashion brand Rag & Bone D.I.Y project. Emily follows in the footsteps of Miranda Kerr, Candice Swanepoel and Jourdan Dunn – and was able to style and direct her own shoot for Rag & Bone, which she chose to set in her New York City apartment, enlisting the help of her friends Jenae Wilkens and Jenna Putnam. The model said of the shoot: “It’s an exciting and crazy transition time and I wanted to capture that by shooting basically in my empty apartment and around the city – it’s a fresh start.”

The Models Direct team admitted to having a bit of a secret girl crush on the ridiculously perfect brunette model featured dancing quirkily in cute shoes in Robin Thicke’s video – and it seems we were not alone!
