Following on from what’s quickly become the biggest news to spread in the Talent Management offices – Kim Kardashian being ‘flour bombed’ on the red carpet by an anti-fur activist – two top models have today held an anti-fur protest at the reality star’s fashion store DASH.

Backed by social activism site Care 2, polish swimsuit model Joanna Krupa and America’s Next Top Model’s Katie Cleary staged the protest outside the Kardashians’ California-based flagship store.

Along with a petition signed by 140,000 people demanding that they stop selling furs in their stores and online, the swimsuit models also held banners reading ‘Keep Up Kardashians, Fur Is Cruel Not Cool’ and ‘Peace For Animals, In Support Of A Fur-Free World’.

Krupa and Cleary garnered lots of attention and support from the passer-bys, and at one point was even joined by comedian Andy Dick, but the fur-loving Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was, rather conveniently, nowhere to be seen.

Sources sayshe’s jetted off to the Dominican Republic along with her sisters Khloe and Kourtney, mother Kris and half-sisters Kendall and Kylie, and at the time of the protest, was seen doing something far more important – buying fast food at American burger chain Wendy’s.

While the team at Talent Management can see why Kim and her sisters may have wanted to steer clear of the protest, given the flour-bombing incident, we can’t help but think avoiding the situation is only making it worse.

In a statement to RadarOnline.com, Krupa, who has shown her support for animals in the past having modelled nude for a controversial PETA ad, said: “One of the most influential families in the entertainment industry that could help give animals a voice on a large scale are the Kardashians.

“As a fashion-forward family with their clothing line in stores all over the US, they have the power to influence millions of people around the world.”
