Talent Management’s favourite humanitarian model Lily Cole has just joined forces with natural, environmentally-minded beauty store The Body Shop.

The British company announced her appointment as its first global brand advocate, which will see the model not only lend her face to the brand, but also help promote their ‘beauty movement’ through their latest campaign.

Dubbed ‘Beauty With Heart’, the campaign aims to transform beauty’s boundaries by putting a human stamp on its products. Working with thousands of Community Trade farmers and workers, the brand hopes to empower others by celebrating the mantra ‘look good, feel good, do good’.

With Lily being an inspiring young activist and publically embodying strong values and The Body Shop having worked on many social and environmental campaigns since its inception, we can’t help but think this pairing is a match may in heaven.

“I have long been an advocate of the potential of using business and consumer power to cause positive change.  The Body Shop takes a responsible attitude to people and the environment, and it feels amazing to be supporting a brand who are pioneers in that way of working,” the model said at a recent London event in celebration of the new partnership.

“We were talking for a year, and I can’t tell you how inspired I’ve been by the work that [The Body Shop has] done. I think they’re such an aspirational business, and an aspirational model to other businesses, to show that you can have a really positive attitude to the people, planet and animals, and that you can also be really successful.

“It’s wonderful to work with The Body Shop because they’ve been championing this for years so successfully. But the bigger their presence is, the more they can help different communities around the world. And at the end of the line, they make great products too, so it’s a win-win situation!”

Beauty With Heart will roll out in the UK from 3rd May and we can’t wait to see Lily’s involvement with the campaign.
