Back in January this year, the Talent Management bloggers revealed that top model Heidi Klum and musician Seal were sadly separating after 7 years together.

Following the announcement, Seal almost immediately spoke out about the spilt, but until now, Klum remained reserved.

In the April issue of US Elle magazine, the 38-year-old German model has finally opened up in an exclusive interview.

On the cover of Elle, Klum is pictured smiling along with the tagline ‘smart, gorgeous, in control’. But, judging by the accompanying interview, it seems the model mother has understandably struggled with the very public break.

“I feel like I’m in the eye of the tornado,” she told the fashion magazine. “It’s emotions inside of your body that are a tornado. And then the outside world doing all this craziness — with you wanting it or not wanting it — is another tornado.

“But as hard as it is, so is life. And sometimes I think a curve-ball just comes at you. Instead of something straight that you catch, it hits you in the head from the side that you didn’t expect.”

With wedding renewals every year and eccentric his and hers Halloween costumes, Klum and Seal’s relationship seemed perfect, but the Project Runway host admits there were ongoing problems kept hidden: “To the outside world, you don’t really share all the things that happen. You kind of share just the most amazing sides,” she explained.

“But I don’t really want to get into any of that stuff. With my life, my family, my business — I want to go forward.”
