Unknown Models Evoke Innocence At Prada

When Talent Management checked out Prada’s new A/W 2011 campaign images, we were happy to see some young, unknown models in the line-up.

Captured by Steven Meisel, we think new faces Kelly Mittendorf, Frida Gustavsson, Ondria Hardin, Dorte Limkilde, Antonia Wesseloh and Julia Zimmer evoke a youthful, ethereal and innocent appeal in the campaign shots. And in fact, according to Prada, innocence was the whole reason these unknown fresh faces were cast.

In Meisel’s accompanying film, the innocence continues as the models pose in what Prada describes as “a dressing room of contemporary desire disguised as a playroom of childhood dreams”.

We love this film and are a big fan of teen model Mittendorf, who is particularly new to the modelling scene. Although we only get to see a snippet of her in the video, the young model sounded grateful for the appearance in the film, commenting about it on her blog: “I’m ecstatic with my appearance in the video, it turned out beautifully and I’m thrilled to play a part in it!”
