Androgynous male model-of-the-moment Andrej Pejic has just become the latest celebrity to partner up with Australia’s largest department store chain, Myer.

Helping to celebrate Myer’s 100th anniversary, the platinum blonde star posed with his fellow ambassadors  – beauty queen Jennifer Hawkins and top model Jessica Hart – at a press conference last week.

Myer’s Chief Executive, Bernie Brookes, told Australia’s Marie Claire that Pejic “represents the future, a different and diverse view”.

“We’re very proud to have Andrej here,” she said, adding that Pejic’s busy schedule means the model is on an “ad-hoc contract” with the retailer.

It seems that just as Talent Management expected, this uniquely versatile model is continuing to gain huge success ever since he walked for Gaultier’s spring/summer 2011 collection.

But refreshingly, Serbian Australian Pejic appears to remain level headed when it comes to his rapid rise to fame, saying that he is aware “trends come and go”.

“I think [the gender trend] could be part of a social movement. I’m just enjoying the ride,” he added.
