As much as we’d love to say yes, it seems the rapper/singer known for his fashionista ways will not be enrolling in Central Saint Martins’ internationally reputed MA course in fashion design.
Sure, it’s no secret that Kanye is a bit of a fashion fan to say the least, and there have been rumours circling the internet suggesting he’s planning to take that interest one step further at Saint Martins, which happens to be one of the world’s leading design institutions, particularly renowned for its fashion courses.
According to the Sun, before heading to Paris for the shows last week, West flew to London and met with head of the course Louise Wilson to talk about the possibility of landing a place on the course.
Well, according to reports, Wilson refused. And when Vogue.com asked the college about the gossip, a spokesperson said: “He isn’t coming to study the MA course, but he did visit the college regarding a separate issue last week.”
So we guess we won’t be seeing Kanye following in the footsteps of Central Saint Martins’ former students and now internationally successful fashion designers Sara Berman, Jenny Packham and Matthew Williamson.
But everyone at Talent Management’s dedicated singers division, Singers Direct, is still left wondering what the visit entailed.
