Helena Bonham Carter, the actress known for her unconventional shabby chic style, is set to follow in the footsteps of modelling greats Daisy Lowe and Andrej Pejic. That’s right, she’s Marc Jacobs’ newest muse.

We think it’s great to see Jacobs embracing all ages to model his different ventures; he’s just chosen 17-year-old actress Dakota Fanning to model his new fragrance ‘Oh, Lola!’, and now 45-year-old Carter is set to star in the label’s autumn/winter 2011-12 campaign.

Like Fanning, the two-time Academy Award nominee was shot by German fashion photographer Juergen Teller. And, seeing as the pictures were leaked this week on Twitter, we can even tell you what she’s wearing – a mermaid-esque pink fitted sequinned dress, accessorised with black polka dot tights, patent heels and a pillbox hat.
