Talent Management have, of course, been checking out The Model Agency; the new Channel 4 series which goes inside the offices of Premier Model Management to reveal the realities of the modelling industry.

So far, The Model Agency has portrayed modelling as an elite club reserved only for the tall, thin, ultra beauties of the world – of which only exist in every 10,000 girls according to Premier’s Founder Carole White.

On the show’s first episode, Senior Booker Paul said he needs “ethereal” girls that look like they come “from another world”.

But are these really the true realities of the modelling industry as a whole? Of course not; Talent Management is here to tell all the discouraged beauties that are under 5ft 8in, have curves, and maybe look like they do come from this world, that there are plenty of modelling opportunities out there for you.

Unlike Premier Model Management, which only represents runway and editorial models, we have a hugely diverse range of looks on our books, welcoming all sizes, ages and features – from petite, mature, plus-size, commercial and even pregnant!

If you’re interested in being a model, but don’t fit the strict criteria of the fashion industry, then check out Talent Management for more information on applying to be a model.

Not only will you take a step to fulfilling your own dreams, but as a ‘real’ model you’ll act as a powerful communicator helping women and young girls reassess the beauty and body ‘ideal’.
