When you\u2019re 5\u201911\u201d, have a killer jaw line and curves to match, the bloggers at Talent Management don\u2019t really wonder why Namibian model<\/a> Behati Prinsloo was chosen to become a Victoria\u2019s Secret PINK spokesmodel and honouree Victoria\u2019s Secret Angel.<\/p>\n

But, despite being dubbed one of the world’s most beautiful women, the 23-year-old model apparently still pinches herself, suggesting she wasn\u2019t always as confident as she now appears.

\nPrinsloo recently spoke to British Vogue saying how she can\u2019t believe she’s following in the footsteps of supermodels Gisele Bundchen, Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum and Alessandra Ambrosio: “Becoming a Victoria’s Secret Angel was a huge one for me, because I just never thought I would be able to do that next to some of the world’s most beautiful women. I always felt like too much of a tomboy!”<\/p>\n

Judging by this and comments she made earlier this year about how life as a teen model was challenging and breaking into the modelling industry<\/a> wasn\u2019t an easy ride, humble Prinsloo serves as a great reminder that confidence comes with practice, and if you put yourself out there, who knows where it will take you!<\/p>\n

For Prinsloo – who never considered being a model before Sarah Doukas, the same modelling scout who discovered Kate Moss, decided she had potential – giving modelling a try really paid off.<\/p>\n

Aside from exclusively debuting for Prada and Miu Miu, and walking for Chanel and Fendi, she’s also been the face of Gap and Tommy Hilfiger, with her latest gig being the face of Australian swimwear brand Seafolly, which is clearly the modelling job for her judging by what she told Vogue!<\/p>\n

“The beach is definitely where I feel most at home,” she told the publication. “It’s my oxygen! I forget how much I need it sometimes when I’m away working, I am a mermaid after all! When I’m on holiday I’ll paddle board, swim in the ocean, roll in the sand, long board, soak up the sun, eat good food, be with friends and family, and go fishing with my Dad.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
