They surround Furstenberg in many of the advertisements, looking confident and happy, and all are dressed in a way that lets children enjoy being children. This makes a refreshing change from some of the campaigns that have recently seen young female models dressed up like adults with what many felt to be inappropriate styling.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Diane Von Furstenberg explained in a statement last year that her roles as mother and grandmother had been an inspiration for the gorgeous new <a title=\"Gap Kids range\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gap.eu\/browse\/category.do?cid=63936\" target=\"_blank\">Gap Kids range<\/a> and she has spoken of her desire to empower little girls with her designs in recent interviews. Models Direct believe that the pieces we have seen will do just that.<\/p>\n<p>The models featured in the campaign range from Asian to mixed race and include cute Filipino-British <a title=\"model\" href=\"http:\/\/www.modelsdirect.com\/become-a-model\/children\/\" target=\"_blank\">model<\/a> Delancey Rose &#8220;Dee&#8221; Bayudan Van Meir. The young model\u2019s Auntie &#8211; Melody Santiago &#8211; told Good Morning America: \u201cI felt so proud and so excited seeing my niece&#8217;s images on the Internet and displayed in all countries all over the world &#8211; knowing that she has Filipino blood and [is bringing] pride to our country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She is reported to have told of the cute child model\u2019s \u2018natural flair\u2019 for modelling, which was apparently noticed by her parents when she was very young. They made the decision to support their daughter\u2019s desire to <a title=\"become a model\" href=\"http:\/\/www.modelsdirect.com\/help-advice\/modelling-tips\/How-to-be-a-model\" target=\"_blank\">become a model<\/a> and Dee was soon found work through a New York based <a title=\"modelling agency\" href=\"http:\/\/www.modelsdirect.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">modelling agency<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDelancey is a very active, happy, and friendly child. She loves to dance, sing and pose in front of a camera. She has great fun and loves the attention she gets when modelling,\u201d Said Santiago.
