Earlier in the month Models Direct<\/a> brought you news of teen model<\/a> Karlie Kloss and her catwalk debut as a Victoria\u2019s Secret Angel, but Kloss wasn\u2019t the only new addition at the VS annual fashion show earlier in the month. Victoria\u2019s Secret Angel newbie Elsa Hosk is the latest young model<\/a> to make headlines for the brand, so we decided to find out more about her.<\/p>\n

The Victoria\u2019s Secret fashion show was aired on CBS on Tuesday night and Elsa Hosk has certainly had people talking since her appearance, but she is by no means new to modelling<\/a>. The Swedish 23 year old has previously modelled<\/a> for names like Dolce & Gabbana and Dior.<\/p>\n

More interesting and impressive than that however, may be her sporty background.
\n“I was a professional basketball player in Sweden,” she recently told Fashionista.<\/p>\n

“It’s not anything like the WNBA, I mean basketball is not that big in Sweden, but it was still very tough. We worked out probably like eight times a week, and then it was games on the weekend.”<\/p>\n

There is some kind of reassurance in knowing that this beautiful 5\u20199\u201d model has worked hard for her figure, but how do the VS Angels generally prepare for such a prestigious show?<\/p>\n

\u201cI think for us, we have to be in shape pretty much all the time since we\u2019re working with lingerie,\u201d she said. \u201cSo it\u2019s not like \u2018oh you need to lose a million pounds\u2019, you just like need tighten up. We\u2019re pretty much ready year round.\u201d Despite this, even Victoria\u2019s Secret Angels have body insecurities, Elsa went on to reveal hers: “I think my biggest thing is my butt. That’s the main thing I work on.”<\/p>\n

When it came to the main event Hosk seemed to fit right in, and she took the prestigious Victoria\u2019s Secret event in her stride despite the pressure that must be felt as a VS Angel:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe funny thing is I thought I was going to be so nervous, but when I arrived there, it\u2019s so fun backstage and everyone is screaming and dancing and I got really great advice from everybody,\u201d she said. \u201cChanel told me to just have fun out there. It was awesome. You get so high from the energy. It was amazing. Like a really mind blowing experience.\u201d<\/p>\n
