If you didn\u2019t already know, June 14th is World Blood Donor Day.<\/p>\n

And in an effort to raise awareness around the importance of blood donation, while also thanking those who support this initiative, top model<\/a> Niki Taylor has got together with Nexcare Bandages,\u00a0America\u2019s Blood Centers, and The American Red Cross\u00a0for the\u00a02011 \u201cgive\u201d programme.<\/p>\n

But our favourite part of this promotion has to be model\u2019s fashion-inspired, limited-edition \u201cSaving a Life is Stylish\u201d plaster collection.<\/p>\n

Having been critically injured in a car accident back in 2001, which left her unconscious for six weeks, it\u2019s no wonder Taylor appreciates the importance of giving blood and is promoting the cause.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to thank people who give blood, every single day,\u201d said Taylor.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope when people see this give bandage, it\u2019s a badge of honour. I hope it gets people my age and younger donating more blood. I love the collection because it\u2019s the latest in fashion trends and saving a life is always in style. I\u2019ll be wearing the zebra print!\u201d<\/p>\n

If you pledge to give blood through the Nexcare Facebook page<\/a>, you can receive a free sample of the \u201cSaving a Life is Stylish\u201d\u00a0plaster during\u00a0the week of World Blood Donor Day.
