Even when you\u2019re past your teenage years many of us aren\u2019t immune from the occasional break out. Giving your skin a bit of tender loving care can bring these down to a minimum, and make you feel a lot better about yourself (and in yourself) as well.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>1. Get to know your skin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">There are three main skin types, and you can also have a combination. Teenage modelling agencies deal with teens with all sorts of skin types, and there\u2019s no reason that that should hold you back.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Dry \u2013if you\u2019ve got dry skin, you\u2019ll find you need to keep it moisturised. It can be particularly sensitive and tight, especially after washing. A lack of sebum means you\u2019re more likely to experience chapping or cracking than breakouts.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Oily \u2013 your skin type is basically the opposite of dry. It produces too much sebum and it can have a greasy, oily appearance. Clay masks, loose powder and blotting paper are your friends. Taking the oil off your skin will help minimise spots, so make sure you wash using a cleanser for oily skin.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Normal \u2013 this means your skin isn\u2019t too dry, or too oily. You lucky thing! You probably won\u2019t have that many blemishes. You\u2019ll still need to cleanse, tone and moisturise, but as long as you remember to take off your makeup it\u2019s going to stay looking lovely.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Combination \u2013 most people have a combination of skin types. You might have an oily t-zone, but dry skin on your cheeks. Because of this, you\u2019ll have to work a little harder. There are products you can apply to certain areas, like a clay mask, to balance out the excess oil, and make sure you use plenty of oil free moisturiser all over your face.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>2. Avoid touching skin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">We touch our faces on average 2-4 times per minute, apparently. And if you think about all the other things you touch all the time, the results are probably not going to be good. Keep a hand sanitiser on you when you\u2019re not able to wash your hands, so that you aren\u2019t rubbing germs all over your face.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Think about how much you use your phone. You\u2019ll tap away at a keyboard, then type a quick text, and later you\u2019ll put your phone up to your ear to make a call. All the germs from your hands have basically directly transferred to your face, and you haven\u2019t even noticed!<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>3. Wash your face, properly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Pick the right cleansers for your skin, and if you have combination skin, bear in mind that you might need to use different products to fight different problems.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Always remember to take off makeup before bed. Even if you\u2019re tired, take the time to give your face a good wash. Make up will block your pores, and overnight is when it recovers. If you remember to take your makeup off every night, you should see a considerable improvement.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Exfoliating around twice a week works as a deep cleanse, getting rid of any of any built up grim and fighting blackheads. There\u2019s no need to exfoliate every day though, as this can actually remove natural oils which are good for your skin, as well as make your skin overly sensitive.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>4. Eat Right<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 602px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/34jU6FBRZ6Cexc69vy0b_4753aPfCvZ-1enp5UrdvF995-lpNG2YWJfashOkI_R8AJ1PRggbYTO43Gzowf83TNjnbvPKjWE7uNn4imljavZY2eypCcBNufT5pL_FtuvxN7g\" alt=\"Is Teen Modeling for you\" width=\"602\" height=\"376\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Try and eat five different types of fruit and vegetables.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Eating well is a big factor for teen modelling agencies generally, and to maintain a beautiful complexion it\u2019s all about balance. If you eat better, you\u2019ll feel better, and more confident in yourself. Your skin will look good, and you\u2019ll generally feel more energetic.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Eating plenty of fruit. Try and eat five different types of fruit and vegetables in a range of colours to ensure you get a range of vitamins from them. It might seem like a lot, but with a few extra vegetables with meals and incorporating fruit into your breakfast, it\u2019s really easily achieved.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Another good thing to top up on for your skin is zinc. It has excellent antioxidant properties, and it\u2019s easier than you\u2019d think to include more in your diet. There\u2019s a massive 25 percent of your recommended daily allowance in a serving of Cheerios!<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">You\u2019ve probably heard this one before, but water does wonders for your skin. It\u2019s good for you all round, helping to cleanse toxins and it is especially good if you suffer from dry skin.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>5. Wear less makeup<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">When you turn up for a photoshoot, you might be asked by your teenage modelling agency not to wear make up. This will help save time getting you ready for the job, but it\u2019s also really good for your complexion to go out sometimes without your full face.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s really tempting to wear more makeup when you have blemishes, but in fact this will only make the matter worse. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.talentmanagement.com\/blog\/2013\/12\/treat-your-face-to-a-makeup-free-24-hours\/\">Give your face a break sometimes<\/a>.
