Recently though, we\u2019ve seen a rise in online modelling companies claiming to provide an array of ‘essential modelling services’ without actually finding models work.<\/p>\n

With catchy tag lines and engaging websites, aspirant models are easily drawn in without realising that all they\u2019re buying into is a ‘showcase’ opportunity, advice, or flashy photo shoots, followed by expensive photographs.<\/p>\n

While some businesses make it perfectly clear they\u2019re not an agency, others conceal the truth in their small print. Many are surprised to find out just how many modelling companies are not modelling employment agencies.<\/p>\n

Two popular non-agency companies are Star Now and UK Models. UK Models, for example, admits: \u201cWe do not find models work, we provide all the services you need to establish which type of modelling best suits you and what type of agency would be the most appropriate.\u201d<\/p>\n

So remember, when approaching a so-called modelling \u2018agency\u2019, ask the question: ‘Are you a modelling employment agency?\u2019<\/p>\n
