Although the model was honoured to be called \u201ca new star in the curvy universe\u201d, she\u2019s hoping she\u2019ll be referred to as a \u201cnew star in the MODELLING universe,\u201d next.<\/p>\n<p>So does Pring have a point; do we need labels?<\/p>\n<p>The model recently spoke to fashionista.com about the industry\u2019s fixation with size. \u201cI hate to be categorized,&#8221; she said, &#8220;I am a model. I do many of the same jobs as others models regardless of their size, race, or gender. I don\u2019t feel a need to specify my size when telling people about my job.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m proud to set an example for women of all sizes as a bigger curvier model, and I\u2019m so thankful to get letters from women of all sizes thanking me for promoting a more realistic healthy image.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And as for the term \u2018curvy\u2019, Pring sees nothing wrong with it. \u201cI don\u2019t need to stress it as my title but I am a curvy, voluptuous, sexy woman and I think the word \u2018curvy\u2019 relays a much more positive image. You can be a size 4 or 14 and be considered \u2018curvy\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We at Talent Management, who are proud to embrace body diversity, think that modelling is about talent and effort, and not necessarily about size.<\/p>\n<p>So whatever labels are dished out, we respect our models for their style and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.modelsdirect.com\/become-a-model\/\" target=\"_blank\">ability to a model<\/a>, and hope that the fashion industry takes note of this.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think?
