Earlier this week, the bloggers at Talent Management<\/a> talked about the possibility of ‘Starving Tips of the Day’ returning to controversial pro-skinny blog Skinny Gossip<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am removing the \u2018Starving Tips of the Day\u2019,\u201d she wrote, \u201cuntil I can review, edit, and possibly re-title it.”

\nHowever, bearing in mind she hasn’t posted on the blog since July and has admitted to receiving death and rape threats, perhaps a re-titled return of what is essentially a pro-anna to-do list is out of the question\u2026at least we hope!<\/p>\n

While we don’t condone threats in any shape or form, with such hateful, intentionally outrageous comments slating curvy models, it doesn’t come as too much of a surprise.<\/p>\n

On her last and hopefully final post, she wrote: “Over the past few days, I have heard from hundreds of people. Most of you tried to out-hate me \u2013 including several death and rape threats \u2013 but a few of you sent messages that were fair, well-thought-out, and in some cases even kind. Those who sent the former are part of the problem; those who sent the latter deserve some of the credit for these changes.”<\/p>\n

While explaining that she never intended to upset anyone, the anonymous writer seemed surprised by the reactions her words evoked and the people reading them: “What I write on the site is intentionally outrageous and intended to provoke controversy, but I never imagined it would grow to the point where the celebrities I was writing about were actually reading the articles, and that has made me think.”<\/p>\n

She also talked about the point at which the wave of major articles hit\u2013 many labelling the site pro-anorexia \u2013 and continued to defend herself, saying that this was absolutely false.<\/p>\n

“Anorexia is not mere dieting, it is not striving for a certain look or to fit into a certain piece of clothing. We have never supported illness or self-harm. But these days if you\u2019re slim or even average and want to be a little thinner, the anorexia label is not far behind. Not that any of you will listen to me about what\u2019s counterproductive, but calling every skinny person anorexic doesn\u2019t do sick people any favors.”<\/p>\n
