Take it from a talent agency that connects multi-talented people to jobs every day, having more than one talent is a huge selling point.<\/p>\n

And, although a rewarding career in itself, modelling<\/a> can be a great start off point to get your foot in a few more doors, whether that be singing<\/a>, dancing<\/a>, or acting<\/a>.
\n
\nIn fact, Talent Management has found that modelling has proved to be an extremely successful gateway into the acting world in particular.<\/p>\n

Many actresses – Katherine Heigl, Lindsay Lohan, and Brooke Shields to name a few – are famous for starting their careers in modelling, but Talent Management was interested to find out that Beth Behrs, who stars in the new comedy series 2 Broke Girls as Caroline Channing, also took this route.<\/p>\n

Now famous for playing an uptown trust fund princess whose run of bad luck forces her into waitressing, Behrs began performing theatre at the age of 5.<\/p>\n

When she was 15, Behrs began studying and performing at the Tony Award-winning American Conservatory Theater (ACT). While at ACT, she performed in the world premiere of the musical Dangling Conversations: The Music of Simon and Garfunkel as well as the West Coast premiere of Jeffrey Hatcher’s play Korczak’s Children. And it was at this point that she also acted in television commercials and modelled in print ads.<\/p>\n

Having used modelling to gain some exposure and experience, Behrs was later named a 2002 California Arts Scholar in Acting by Governor Gray Davis. As part of this honour, she studied with Academy Award\u00ae winner Helen Hunt at Cal Arts in Valencia, California. Subsequently, Behrs was accepted into the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Theater, Film and Television in 2004. After graduating in 2008, Behrs won the coveted Young Musician’s Foundation Vocal Scholarship.<\/p>\n

Behrs’ training paid off and she soon scored television appearances on NCIS: Los Angeles and Castle. Her feature film credits include American Pie: Book of Love and the upcoming indie comedy Serial Buddies, and now, of course, the pretty blonde has become known worldwide for her hilarious role in 2 Broke Girls.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
