Catwalk by TIGI partners with Christopher Kane to create an iconic hair accessory for the Autumn\/Winter 2012 season<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Celebrating the inextricable\u00a0link between hair and fashion, Catwalk by TIGI have collaborated with Talent Management design favourite\u00a0Christopher Kane\u00a0to create an iconic hair accessory\u00a0for the Autumn\/Winter 2012 season.<\/p>\n

The result? TIGI\u2019s\u00a0inimitable hair styling alongside Christopher Kane\u2019s\u00a0leather-esque binding and playful knots creates a\u00a0modern take on the hair band that the hair models<\/a> at the agency are loving.

\nKane also seemed excited about this collaborative effort: \u201cI used accents of black leather in my AW12 collection and so\u00a0wanted to create a hairband for TIGI that had the same attitude. A\u00a0double strand in soft mock leather adds toughness and strictness\u00a0and keeps the hair controlled and modern.\u201d<\/p>\n

The synergy between TIGI\u2019s Creative Director Nick Irwin and\u00a0Christopher Kane perfectly illustrates the bond and shared creative\u00a0vision between hair stylist and designer.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe hair and fashion are intrinsically linked\u201d said Irwin.\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s important that we translate the ideas we create backstage\u00a0at catwalk shows into looks that girls can wear in their everyday\u00a0lives and do themselves\u201d<\/p>\n

Kane\u2019s carefully considered styling combined with Irwin\u2019s unique\u00a0approach to hair has generated a series of model images that illustrate\u00a0TIGI\u2019s super modern take on hair with Kane\u2019s accessory as a key\u00a0element to the overall look.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love this hairband as it has a multitude of uses and really\u00a0channels Christopher\u2019s A\/W12 main collection\u201d Irwin added. \u201cPlace the band around the head and simply tie hair back\u00a0into a loose knot or for a softer look; weave tendrils of hair\u00a0through the band \u2013 this is one way to instantly update your look\u00a0for the coming A\/W season and beyond\u201d<\/p>\n
