The 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Last night, The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) announced the nominees and honourees for the 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards.<\/p>\n

The exclusive event was hosted by CFDA President Diane von Furstenberg and Nadja Swarovski at the designer\u2019s studio in the Meatpacking District.<\/p>\n

This year, Talent Management<\/a> watched the announcements live on facebook.com\/Swarovski<\/a>, and was excited to see such diverse and extraordinary talent in 2011\u2019s nominees.<\/p>\n

The nominees for Womenswear Designer of the Year Award are Alexander Wang,
\nJack McCollough & Lazaro Hernandez for Proenza Schouler, and Marc Jacobs.<\/p>\n

The Menswear Designer of the Year nominees are Michael Bastian, Patrik Ervell, and Simon Spurr. For Accessory Designer of the Year Award the nominees are Alexander Wang, Jack McCollough & Lazaro Hernandez for Proenza Schouler, and Reed Krakoff.<\/p>\n

Joseph Altuzarra, Ashley Olsen & Mary-Kate Olsen, and Prabal Gurung have been nominated for the Swarovski Award for Womenswear. The nominees for the Swarovski Award for Menswear are Alexander Wang, Phillip Lim, and Robert Geller.<\/p>\n

For the Swarovski Award for Accessory Design, the nominees are Alejandro Ingelmo, Eddie Borgo, Jason Wu, and Pamela Love.<\/p>\n

In addition, the honorary awards will go to a diverse group of people. Our favourite? Lady Gaga \u2013 she\u2019s being awarded this year’s Fashion Icon Award for being a fashion revolutionary impacting style today.<\/p>\n
