Talent Management agency couldn’t help but be won over by the enthusiasm and charisma of our new teen model and actor Sam. At just 16 years old he has shown impressive initiative – getting involved with various productions and throwing himself whole-heartedly into each experience. This young man deserves to do well, and with a ‘go-getting’ attitude like his we really believe that he will.

Vital statistics
Age: 16
Height: 6ft
Hair colour: Brown
Eye colour: Green/blue

How would you describe your look?
“I wear glasses 24/7 usually but can see a decent amount without them. I have a good build whilst not being too short or too tall. My face, I feel, has a friendly look whilst being (and I quote) “very cute”. I think I look young for my age so could take parts as a young teen.”

Where did your interest in modelling come from?
“I have had the interest in singing, acting and performing ever since I was in year 3 at school. This was the first time I acted in a school production of The Christmas Story. I was thrown in at the deep end when they asked me to sing a solo whilst stroking my sheep in the moonlight. But I jumped at the chance and did it well – I have my own copy on DVD!

“Then, in year 4, I was asked to record a CD with a professional private recording artist and a man called Justin (I think he acts on CBeebies with younger children) who was telling the story. I sang 8-10 songs which were made up by the company (Warwick Music). This CD can now be purchased online.

“In year 6, the same school put on a production of Bugsy Malone. I did audition to be Bugsy but I got the part of Leroy Smith. A boxer. I had the right build for it then! In the past 4/5 years i have been a part of the Belgrade Youth Theatre in Coventry. They meet up every week and put on a piece for the public at the end of every year. I have gone from beginners to middle to senior and am still enjoying it.

“In 2009, I took part in YMT UK (Youth Music Theatre) and spent a week in London rehearsing for a play that we eventually performed in London. This was acting as well as singing songs we had to write. From doing this week of acting, I achieved a Grade 6 with Merit Award in Musical Theatre.”

What made you choose Talent Management?
“Talent Management looked like a professional agency with lots of parties who have had quite a few success stories that I have read through. They didn’t look as though they would mess about. So far so good!”

What are you hoping to gain from signing up with a model agency?
“I am hoping to gain lots more skills to do with acting, performing and singing and possibly a role in a film, TV series or advert. This would be my dream.”

Name the top 3 things about yourself that you think will make you a good model.
“Firstly, I have been told I look like quite a few people e.g. Alan Carr and the kid from the film Up among other people. I think my face is quite a universal/neutral face that could be used for general roles in anything. Secondly, I think my previous experience in performing and singing could also help to make me successful. Lastly, I think my willingness to learn will play a big part. I am very keen to learn new skills in performing and to get to act in a range of scenes.”

Do you have any additional talents; singing, dancing, acting, etc?
“As described, previously I have acted and sung in several performances whilst also being part of a drama group at the Belgrade Theatre for the past 4 years.”

What are you most looking forward to in becoming a model?
“I am most looking forward to receiving my first job (if I get one) and seeing what it will be like and what I’ll be doing. I think it’s important to not get too excited because you may not receive an offer, but keep your head up because anything is possible. I will be carefully considering every offer I get. I’m excited already writing this and will definitely consider anything that companies throw at me. I know I cannot waste this chance.”
