Talent Management are excited to welcome new face Kate Hockley to the model books this month. Sister to fellow Talent Management model and famous organist Ian Hockley, Kate not only has a great look for modelling, but like her brother has additional talents that we think will set her apart in the industry.

As a classically trained pianist and singer, with a Higher Diploma from the Academy of Contemporary Music in Performance Vocals, she is an experienced session vocalist with some impressive milestones in her career. To date, she’s sung alongside Sam Brown, of Pink Floyd fame, and supported vocalist Patti Russo, of Meatloaf. But now, aged 31, Chatham-based Kate has decided to branch out into the modelling industry. Read on to find out what sparked the move, as well as more about her impressive musical talents…

How would you describe your look?

“Changeable! One day ultra feminine, the next day edgy! My look shows my mood.”

Where did your interest in modelling come from?

“I’ve always loved fashion and had a photoshoot for fun but I was advised to look for work. It has been suggested before and I did a little work abroad but it’s only now I’m able to do something about it!”

What made you choose Talent Management?

“Direct contact with a representative and the fact that the team actively seek work. Additionally, government checks legitimise the company and its role.”

What are you hoping to gain from signing up with a model agency?

“Ideally any modelling work, be it catalogue, advertising for clothes, make up, hand modelling, swimwear – any opportunities as a commercial model.”

Name the top 3 things about yourself that you think will make you a good model.

“I’m reliable and easy to work with. I have a versatility and can work with differing looks. I’m open and confident with new ideas and experiences.”

Do you have any additional talents; singing, dancing, acting, etc?

“I’m a trained singer, pianist and a capable dancer, with training in differing styles; able to pick up new routines and styles quickly. I am developing my yoga ability and am also training in aerial silks.”

What are you most looking forward to in becoming a model?

“New challenges, variety in opportunities and being able to work with some great people.”
